I’ve photographed weddings at almost every winery in Temecula, but this was my first at Leonesse Cellars, and I was beyond excited to shoot there. The rolling hills graced with lines of vines from atop the Leonesse Ceremony area are breathtaking. A gray overcast hinted rain, but provided amazing lighting and a cool comfort. It also blended nicely with the blue uniforms of service members from our United States Air Force who provided a splendid sword detail. Ya-Ting, a graduate of Berkely and Air Force Officer, met Sean an Engineering graduate of Cornell, while they were stationed in Korea. Ya-Ting stood helplessly beside her car, having locked herself out, and Sean, an Officer and a Gentleman, was willing to assist. Little did he know he was flirting with the daughter of the 3-Star General and Deputy Commander of the Pacific Theater! I giggle to imagine his surprise when he found out. But I’m sure the General was quite delighted to know his daughter had fallen for such a charming and intelligent young man… an F-16 Fighter Pilot with eyes of piercing blue.
Ya-Ting and Sean’s time in Korea eventually came to an end. Sean received orders to Utah, and Ya-Ting to Vegas. Being apart was what drew them closer together. After they were engaged, they visited the wineries of Temecula, and knew Leonesse was exactly what they had dreamed of for their destination wedding in the vines.
Special thanks to all of my partner vendors from the Special Event Connection of Temecula, who did a splendid job of coordinating. Hair & Make-up by Alicia Kranz who made our beautiful bride even more stunning. Catering by Once upon a Wedding, Cake by Sweet Layers, and Flowers by Sweet Flowers. The gorgeous gown was Alfred Angelo. Thanks to Good Time Entertainment for rocking the night away as always.
Here are a few pics as the day unfolded.

The ceremony was to run late into the evening, and with the thick overcast, I knew we wouldn’t have much light after the ceremony, so we decided to take the photos of Sean and Ya-Ting together before the ceremony. Of course, they wanted that first look to be something memorable and special, so we tucked Ya-Ting away in the vines, and had Sean come out of the Barrel Room to find her. Here are a few pics from the first time they saw one another….

A proud father and emotional bride.... so sweet.

See.... I told you he was an engineer type....![]()
