  • Hi there! Welcome to by blog-folio, where I share a few favs from my Temecula weddings and engagement shoots. Althought I am primarily a Temecula wedding photographer, I also shoot all across the U.S. And if you're getting married somewhere really cool, I also happen to have a suitcase packed and passport handy, so gimme a ring if you're looking for a destination wedding photographer.

Robin and John’s wedding at Wayfarers Chapel, Rancho Palos Verdes, Ca

These star crossed actors met at a theatre, working on a scene for “blithe spirit”.. about a girl who haunts her husband after he gets involved with a younger more exciting live girl!.. Robin was the haunting ghost, John played the dude with the younger chick. 10 years later, John proposed by the Christmas tree on Christmas morning in PJs with warm egg-nogg and a gorgeous ring. Christmas has always been their favorite time of year, but from now on, it will have a special romance. I loved photographing this playful couple. What made it even more cool was watching Robin’s premier debut of a reality TV pilot on the History Channel the weekend before the wedding. You may also have seen her on “All my Children,” Punk’d, or Jimmy Kimmel Live, or any of the dozens of TV shows and films she has appeared in.
We shot their wedding at the Beautiful Wayfarers Chapel, and then headed over to the Portofino at Redondo Beach for an elegant reception and special photo shoot themed by John and Robin to have a Depression Era look and feel. I had a blast! Enjoy a few of my favs from the day.

Los Willows Wedding Stephanie & Dale

Stephanie and Dale knew of each other in high school, but never formally met. Dale was three years older than her.  Years later we reconnected via internet and hit it off from the start. They spoke over the internet and phone for a month or so before he finally asked her to meet him for drinks at Chilies on January 30, 2009. This was our official first date! A little over a year later Dale proposed at 1,000 steps beach in Laguna on March 27, 2010. He had asked her parent for her hand in marriage months before he actually proposed. Dale booked a hotel down in Carlsbad at one of our favorite beach spots, enjoyed the day walking around and hanging at the beach.  Toward the later afternoon he wanted to adventure out of the box so we headed up to 1,000 steps to watch the sunset and to have dinner. We walked through the caves and sat up on the edge of the rocks to look out at the amazing view.  It was not until They were up on the rocks that she could tell Dale was distracted with his own thoughts and was acting a little different. He began to share how much Stephanie  meant to him and how his life has been forever changed from their love. She reached up and kissed him and while we were kissing she reached down for his hands hitting the jewelry box, almost knocking it in the ocean. Luckily he had a good grip or we would have been diving for it.  Dale dropped down on one knee and proposed!

Ashley & Justin are Married @ Temecula Creek Inn!

Their story from their words:

A mutual friend of ours from college (Arizona State University) decided to let me know that after a year of knowing both of us individually he wanted us to meet, although it couldn’t have been at a more inconvenient time. Justin had just graduated and I still had another year to go. He was about to leave for a week-long vacation and then his internship in Denver Colorado for the summer and then he was off to Notre Dame to get his Masters in Accounting. So it was a long shot, but we were introduced. We hung out with friends for about a week and we knew we had something good. There was one week left before Justin was going to leave and we spent almost every day together trying to get to know each other. Justin then decided to cancel his vacation before he went off for his internship to spend more time together. It paid off

;)
We began dating and doing the long distance thing for about a year, visiting about every 3 weeks. After I graduated from ASU and Justin graduated from Notre Dame we moved to Chicago together and were able to finally date in the same city!  Justin and I had just gotten back from a family vacation in Telluride Colorado. So with the cold and lots of kids running around I got sick around the end of the trip. After we got back we spend a few days in Arizona for the New Year to celebrate with our friends from college. On Jan 3rd (still not feeling to well) Justin has this wonderful idea to go on a hike. Instantly my answer is “No way I feel awful and this is vacation there is no way I am exercising”. So we came to the compromise that I would drive up there with him and do a little walking around. When we got up there we were walking around and checking out the view on top of this beautiful mountain. We sat down to relax and then there it was the question with the ring . I don’t remember a lot of what was said.. but instantly I said yes and realized why he wanted to go hiking so bad. The next part of our day was to go to his mom’s house and have dinner with her and some of his family. When I walked in all our family and friends were there. Family and friends are the most important people to Justin and I. So he had planned this amazing engagement party. He even got my parents to drive in from California for the weekend for the party too! It was amazing!!

Everyone always talks about what a special day your wedding day is going to be. And until I was there in the moment I finally understood what they meant. It was so great to see all our family and friends together. We had planned a yearlong engagement to be able to plan for a wedding of our dreams, and that it was. We had our setting tucked away in the hills for a cozy atmosphere. We especially loved our location because the ceremony and reception were right next to each other which made it so easy for our guests. I think the best part of our whole day was not only seeing the smile on each other’s faces, but seeing it on all of our family and friends faces as well. That is exactly what we wanted out of our day!

Michael & Laura get hitched @ Wiens Winery

Michael and Laura had a beautiful wedding at Weins Family Cellars. Michael is in the Marines and Laura is a former Marine. She wanted him to wear his Dress Blues on the day of the wedding but he did not want to do that, or that’s what he told her. He had a big surprise planned for her. They did a “first look” so they could shoot their pictures before the wedding and enjoy  cocktail hour with their guest.   The photos were going well but Michael kept insisting that they be done 30 before the ceremony so they could go back to their separate rooms and relax. Laura did not understand this but she went a long with it. Michael wanted to surprise Laura with wearing his uniform during the Ceremony.  So he ended the picture taking with exactly 30 minutes for him to change over and get down the isle for the big surprise. When Laura came around the corner and saw him standing there in his uniform , well let’s just say her face says it all.

Crystal & Garrett were married @ Monteleone Meadows, Murrieta Ca

I’m happy to share some images from Crystal and Garrett’s wonderful wedding at Monteleone Meadows in Murrieta Ca.  I had a great time photographing their engagement session at the Mission Inn in Riverside, Ca, and knew from that day that the wedding was going to be a blast because they were such a fun couple to hang out with.  This is the first time I’d photographed a wedding at Monteleone Meadows, and the staff and scenery was wonderful to work with.  Crystal and Garrett had been together for a couple of years when he proposed.  In Crystal’s words:  ”Garrett and I met at a mutual friends wedding in 2005 (who was actually our minister and one of my bridesmaids).  I always knew him as my brothers’ friend and he always knew me as the little sister of my brothers’.  We connected again 2 years later at a friends party, however he refused to go on a date with me until he had my brothers’ approval (which took 3 months for Garrett to ask them! Good grief!) LOL. Garrett proposed to me on June 6, 2009.  Garrett and I went on a picnic at the park and sat next to the waterfall in the lake.  A storm was moving in about an hour later so I decided we needed to leave.  As I was getting up Garrett pulled me back down and was there with a ring in hand asking for my hand in marriage.  Here I was only concentrating on the rain that was about to down pour and Garrett was so nervous because he was thinking about proposing LOL.  The following day we celebrated by going to dinner with our families where I heard all about how this has been planned for months, but Garrett was waiting for just the right time.” Garrett and Crystal have a beautiful baby girl who will turn two later this year, and are planning another sometime next year.
