• Hi there! Welcome to my wedding photography blog, where I share a few of my favorite images from my weddings and engagement shoots. For the past eight years, I've been a professional wedding photographer based out of Southern Ca. During the late summer of 2013, I relocated to Fernandina Beach Fl and after the new year, will begin again as a Jacksonville wedding photographer. I am now accepting weddings in Fernandina Beach, Ponte Vedra, Jacksonville, Fl, and the surrounding areas. I'll continue to fly back to Southern Ca for the occasional Temecula winery wedding as well. And if you're planning a destination wedding somewhere really cool, like this recent destination wedding in Spain, I also happen to have a suitcase packed and passport handy, so gimme a ring if you're looking for a destination wedding photographer.

Jamie & David’s Los Willows Wedding in Temecula, Ca

If its not too vain to be a fan of my own work, I absolutely LOVED David and Jamie’s engagement session at Balboa Park in San Diego.  They were oh so photogenic and just too fun, so I knew the wedding would be a blast.  They married at Los Willows in Temecula, Ca, and upon arriving, I was absolutely delighted to find two of my FAVORITE wedding coordinators working there…  Nicole and Kendra! LOVE working with them….

Coincidentally, Jamie just emailed me: “ Hi Theresa!  I am finally having the chance to sit down and email you to say thank you! We LOVE our photos so much! You did an amazing job! They all turned out so gorgeous!   Also I am looking forward to seeing the blog of our wedding too!”  So here it is!

David and Jamie first met when they were in high school at Western Christian. Although they were not high school sweethearts, they had a class or two together and carpooled a few times. They hung out here and there a few years later with mutual friends. 11 years later, in October 2008, they reconnected and decided to meet up for dinner at the Yardhouse.  After a 5 hour dinner, they knew they had something special!

David proposed to Jamie on February 14th, 2010. They were in Lake Arrowhead for the weekend and he proposed at night, right on the lake, on the snow. He told her he wanted her to see the snow “glow” at night. As they were walking out in the snow toward the lake, David was acting a little different and Jamie knew something was going on. He said he had something on his mind and needed to talk. He was supposed to have met up with a buddy for dinner the Friday before their trip. He proceeded to tell her that he wasn’t really where he said he was going to be. Then he froze in his speech due to nerves and Jamie nudged him a bit asking, “Well, where were you?” He then told Jamie, who was thinking the worst, that he was out to dinner meeting to ask for blessings to marry her.  At that point, David was already down on one knee proposing, holding open the box with the light shining on the ring. David was right, the snow was definitely ”glowing” at night.  They have both been glowing ever since…  ahh.. I’m such a hopeless romantic.  I wish Cris would have put some thought into our proposal.  He basically walked in where I was working and said, “Hey, I’ve decided that we’re going to get married this New Years Eve.  K?”  20 years later he’s still catching flack…  Good job David!
