Macy’s Senior Shoot! Temecula Ca

I so enjoy shooting senior sessions! But this one was special. I met Macy when she was around 3 years old when our families were stationed together in Charleston S.C. (1996). Our families became good friends for the 3 years we were there. Two year after leaving Charleston we reconnected in Okinawa, Japan for a few years, only to end up together once again here in Temecula! I has been so fun to travel the world and always be able to reunite with friends over and over again. Macy is a Senior this year and will graduate for Chaparral High School in Temecula Ca. She is such a smart and fun girl to be around. Good luck Macy. You have a bright future ahead!

Ponte Winery Wedding : Jason and Shannon – Temecula, Ca

What do you get when you combine a bunch of Stanford grads, a wedding, and Ponte Winery? An absolutely delightful day of photography! Jason and Shannon first met at her cousin’s home, but it wasn’t until a wine trip to Temecula that they really took notice of each other. Therefore, it seemed very fitting that their wedding would take place at Ponte Winery in Temecula. For the proposal, they were in Kauai, HI and rent a Harley a take a ride to Waimea Canyon. At the second lookout Jason dropped to one knee and asked Shannon to marry him. Here are a few pics I wanted to share from their beautiful Temecula Winery Wedding.

It was a beautiful day in San Diego for a engagement session at Balboa Park. The weather was perfect and the lighting was gorgeous. Kat and Dale showed up ready to have fun. These two will be married at Ponte Winery located in beautiful wine country in Temecula California on September and I can not wait to shoot their wedding!

Destination Wedding, Catalonia Spain

Yes, Spanish Castle Magic is the name of Jimi Hendrix song. It also represents a special day that I was so fortunate to witness and capture. Mark said that because Suzi is his Princess, she could only be wedded in a castle. It was the ‘stuff’ of fairy tales. A 14^th century castle (built in 1301) nestled high on a hillcrest on the countryside a few hours north of Barcelona Spain, in Catalona. Complete with its own Chapel of Mary del Remei, added to the castle in 1600, the Castle de Emporda closed its doors and plush hotel to accommodate the 70 or so guests of Mark and Suzi for the weekend. A touch of modernism in the design of the outdoor patio, pool, and social area blended uniformly with the historic architecture. A thousand feet below, farmers worked the same fields as the generations before them.

Though I’d advertised myself as a destination wedding photographer for couples flying in to Southern California for a Winery Wedding in Temecula’s vineyards, this would be my first international destination wedding. My husband and I took a week or so to visit Paris and parts of Germany before heading down to Spain. We met up with Mark and Suzi for the first time at the castle the day prior to the ceremony. Mark and Suzi live on the east coast, near the D.C. area, and had discovered the venue during a tour of “The Castles of Europe.” Upon arrival, I could see why they picked this enchanted venue. Absolutely breathtaking.

Once all of the guests had arrived and everyone shown to our rooms, we enjoyed a tour of the grounds and were given the history of the place. A cocktail social was followed by a delightfully entertaining evening of flamenco dancers and guitar. Around 1am, we retired to our rooms for the evening.

The next morning, all guests met in the dining area for a splendid breakfast with the freshest squeezed orange juice and fruit I’ve ever tasted. Pastries and granola cereal, and coffee hit the spot as the guests recovered from the preceding evening of events. I scurried back to my room to prep my gear.

The day was spread out nicely to avoid the feeling of being rushed from one event to the next. Guests gathered again for an outdoor lunch while Suzi began the super ritual of pre-ceremony hair and make-up. Seeing her transform, I was reminded of another song by Skid Row that begins; “Suzi had an Uzi, What a Beautiful Bride….” The castle employees scurried about decorating the reception area, and Cris and I went to work with the cameras. For the next 12 hours, we shot around 60 gigs of images! Below are a few I’d like to show off a bit. A special thanks Mark and Suzi for making my first wedding of 2012 such a memorable occasion!

My Fabulous Wedding Couples of 2011

As 2011 comes to an end I want to say thank you to this year’s FABULOUS couples! It is such an honor to be a part of such a cherished day. Every couple below gave me special memories and new friendships. The year featured some of my favorite Murrieta and Temecula wedding venues: Wiens Family Estate, Ponte Winery, Los Willows, Lake Oak Meadows, Temecula Creek Inn, Mount Palomar, Monteleone Meadows, Canyon Lake, Long Shadow Ranch, Keyways Winery, Falkner Winery, and Wilson Creek Winery. I also enjoyed getting up to Orange County for a Wayfarers Chapel wedding. Everyone who knows me knows that I book weddings around Ga Football and my girl’s volleyball games , but I still managed to get 22 weddings in for the year, which is a pretty good balance for my hectic life. I certainly don’t want to book any more than that in 2012, but we’ll see what the new year brings. My first wedding for 2012 will be in Barcelona Spain! Can’t wait!

Young ladies all over the world dream of their wedding day and their prince charming. It is a day that is filled with emotions of smiles and laughter and sometimes tears, but always good tears. Lindsay was that picture perfect bride. She was glowing all day and you could not get that smile off her face! She knew that in a few hours she would be walking down the isle to her prince charming. Tanner was no different, he was full of excitement and laughter. The day was here and it was perfect. The weather, the decor and the perfect couple. Their pictures tell it all!

Ponte Winery Wedding: Katherine & Zack

For those who sit and wonder about the on-line dating world, and if it ever really works, well I am here to tell you it does. That is exactly how Katherine and Zack met, on E-Harmony. It was early August when these two connected through email. After sending several emails back and forth they decided it was time to meet in person. The date: August 20th, little did they know that this would be the beginning of the rest of their lives. Zack drove to Temecula from Camp Pendleton to meet Katherine. She was getting ready for the date and I shattered a bright red bottle of nail polish in a white bathroom and ended up being 45 minutes late. When she finally met up with him she told him what had happened and he said he though he was being stood up. After dinner they went walking along old town Temecula. As they were walking Zack put the reciept from dinner in his pocket ( which is a normal thing but his response that followed was not) and said “I collect receipts” taking a few more steps realizing that he told her this on their first date he followed with “I can’t believe I just told you that.” I laughed and said that as long as I knew him, I would tease him about that. It was included in my vows. We ended up going to a park and talking more after dinner. After that we have been inseperable.
