Angelica and Jesse’s Wedding & Wilson Creek Winery Reception
Jesse and Angelica’s wedding took place at a quaint catholic chapel in Menifee, and followed with a beautiful reception at Wilson Creek Winery. Angelica shared her story with me about how they met and how Jesse proposed. Its an interesting story best told in her own words:
Jesse and I met in October of 2000 on a music downloading website on the internet. We weren’t looking to meet meet online we were just downloading music from each other and we started chatting, I used to run back to my apartment on campus after class to chat with him. I was living in San Diego for my undergrad and Jesse lived in Los Angeles. three months after chatting online and knowing each other by picture only we decided to meet in person, it almost felt like I knew him for years after only talking online for three months. Six months after that we became boyfriend and girlfriend. Jesse would drive out every weekend to stay with me for 5 years, after that I moved to LA for work and then school.
Jesse then proposed on February 13th 2010. I had suggested we go spend Valentines weekend in San Diego for old time sake. So we went to dinner to a place we liked in downtown La Jolla and then after dinner I suggested we go to our spot on the beach where Jesse and I used to go for relaxing and romantic evenings, (I have to say that Jesse already this up his sleeve, but I kept beating him to the punch). So we drove over to the beach and the area that we would normally step down on to the beach had been washed away so we decided to stay up and sit on some benches. After a short while Jesse said we should atleast go down the steps to get closer to the water, so we walked down and I was snapping away with the camera when suddenly Jesse starts saying a bunch of nice things and he makes a point to tell me that he knew he didn’t get me anything for Valentines Day and I jokingly teased him because I had given him a card and a boutanniere back at the hotel earlier…anyway he went on saying more nice things and I started to tear up and all of a sudden I saw he got down on his knee and the last words I heard were “I want to know if you will be my wife?” and he pulls out this box that lit up and I was still in shock because it hadn’t registered that he had just asked me to marry him. At first when the box lit up I thought it was his cell phone lighting up until I focused and I saw my beautiful ring sitting in the box. I was in shock and speechless, but I said “Yes!”
